Abbey is 16 years old and is a senior at Hueytown High School. Three words that best describes Abbey are honest, friendly and determined. She is well liked by her peers and serves as a role model in many areas of life. She participates in events such as food drives, clean-ups and Project Cozy Critter. Abbey has also held a position on the cheerleading squad for the past four years. Abbey is very passionate about animals and is spending her year as Miss Teen Alabama providing a voice for countless abandoned animals through the Birmingham Humane Society. She believes that every animal should have a voice and she intends to bring awareness to the issues of animal cruelty and the prevention of animal abuse by standing up for the animals that obviously do not have a voice to defend themself. Abbey maintains good grades and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Abbey represented Alabama beautifully at the National Pageant that was held this past July in Las Vegas, Nevada. She placed top 10 at the Miss Teen United States and won the overall photogenic.
After graduating high school Abbey plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in Business and Fashion. We are very proud to have such a positive young lady representing Alabama. Abbey is a survivor of Gilliam Bare Syndrome.
